So... I have a question.
What does it mean to be blessed?
You hear that word all the time, or some form of it. Especially as missionaries. "Do this, and you will be blessed", "Having this in my life is such a blessing", "I have seen so many blessings because I have obeyed this commandment". But what does it mean?

When I think of being blessed I look at everything around me and realize it is a gift. That gift must come from someone so it helps me know there is a Supreme Being or, as I prefer to call him, my Heavenly Father. I look around me at the beauties of the world and know they were all created by my Heavenly Father. I am blessed to have a positive outlook on things, which comes from my father, who chose to live that way because of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which comes from my Heavenly Father. I am blessed to have a knowledge of a Heavenly Father who loves all his children and has given us so many wonderful 'gifts.' Look around you at any moment and see how richly you are 'blessed.'
ReplyDeleteTo me, being "blessed" means to receive a gift or gifts that come as a direct result of being obedient to the laws and commandments of God.
